On 25th of May, I would like to invite you, and those you wish to bring, to the opening of my solo exhibition in the Gyldenpris Kunsthall in Bergen at 18.00 - 21.00. And to an artist conversation between Tonje Bøe Birkeland and me on the 26th of May.
As you may know, I am interested in creating photographs based on psychological processes and human stories. In this exhibition you will find poetic photographs and paper works that deal with people as part of nature's cycle, isolation, sensual closeness and care for the closest. In the exhibition, I show the first part of a larger archive work, together with works from the book How Much Silence Can You Take? with questions about how our reading of photography changes over time, based on context and how it affects our view of the past and our experiences now and in the future.
I would very much like to thank Fritt Ord, the Directorate of Culture and Gyldenpris Kunsthall for financial support for the production. And thanks to Annine Birkeland, Stig Anderson and Tonje Bøe Birkeland who run Gyldenpris Kunsthall for a very rewarding collaboration.
It is possible to buy all the works exhibited at Gyldenpris Kunsthall. If you are interested, you can contact Annine Birkeland: annine@bcap.no
